It Is Well With My Soul

Get Away

It’s always nice to get away from time to time. To leave things and not have worries. To simply relax. It’s nice to “get off the grid” once in awhile. Makes me feel reenergized and ready for the next step.
Excited for this new job, new opportunity, new priorities.

God, you are ever-so faithful.

SERVE

“For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.”
Galatians 5:13.

CANVAS

“I’M NOT AFRAID TO FACE THE CANVAS
AND I’M NOT AFRAID TO BE THE CANVAS.”

Heart

God, I’m praying for a heart like yours.

Shadows

“Most of the shadows of this life are caused by our standing in our own sunshine.”
/ Ralph Waldo Emerson

FRIENDS

“Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you too, can become great. When you are seeking to bring big plans to fruition, it is important with whom you regularly associate. Hang out with friends who are like-minded and who are also designing purpose-filled lives. Similarly be that kind of a friend for your friends.”

/ Mark Twain

Remembrance

As much as I’m excited for lent to be over so that I can eat red meat once again. My dad had made a joke last night saying, “It would be better for Jesus to die every day for us to live this way and to be excited about something.” I laughed because— it’s funny. But now that I think of it, how sad is that I don’t get excited over some things that I should be excited about daily. Lent is in remembrance of Jesus, in what he did for us. I am ever so grateful for what He has done for me and I want to live a life that shows that I am appreciative of that. I sit and think of what God had once done for me, not just on the cross, in my every day life and I realized… Gosh, he has done so much. He’s provided me with all that I needed, always made sure that I was okay even in my lowest.

God needs to be remembered.
Just as I remember how good red meat tasted.

Happy Easter to All.

CHILDREN

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

I am reminded of who I serve and the joy of serving them and Him.

DAAAH!! They’re so cute and lovable at all times.
No matter how sick, how gross, how weird, how funny, how blunt, how etc.— they are.. still so darn cute.
